Bad Filipino traits we should review again

Filipinos are known to be hard-working, flexible and remarkable. However, there are some angles of us that need to be reviewed and somehow eradicated.

This is kinda hurting to read. But well, reality indeed hurts. Check this out!

Crab Mentality

This refers to the behaviour of an individual that puts, “If I can’t have it, you don’t deserve it too”. There are some people who just cannot afford to be happy for others who have achieved something in life.

We tend to drag those we view are above us down and doubt their capabilities, instead of praising them and be proud of them.

Anyway, here's a photo of your neighbour!

Manana Habit

Leaving activities behind and planning to continue them on the next following days is one of the bad Filipino traits that need to be reviewed.

Reality check, the manana habit leads us to be wary and be jealous of others who have worked more and harder to get promoted.

Excessive Partying

Filipinos are known to celebrate any types of milestone in their life. Since celebrations mean money used to finance food, liquor and other party needs, some are more than willing to have debts so they could only celebrate.

Thus in the Philippines, every birthday, christening, graduation, and town fiesta passes by with at least one family’s finances getting negative.

Now that you know some of the Filipino traits that need to be reviewed, you might want to start the changes in yourself.
