ABS-CBN franchise: to renew or not to renew?

WARNING: This post is only for people who know and understand the meaning of SATIRE. As far as we know, Google is free to use.

The issue on the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN is now the hottest topic. It is trending almost everywhere- on social media, in barber shops, in parlors, in coffee shops, in food courts.

However, there is one place where it is not trending- in the Congress.

The Congress' schedule is too hectic that it cannot accommodate bills for the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN very, very, very, very soon.

However, there are two other important organizations that are very much interested in talking about the issue- GMA7 and TV5.

On February 24, it was pointed out that the franchise of ABS-CBN is set to expire on May 4, 2020.

However, it was not clarified whether the label used was “best before” or “expiration”.

Once the franchise of ABS-CBN expires, there is a high possibility that everything that comes out of the television screen are poisonous.

During the Senate hearing, it was the calm Mr. Carlo Katigbak, CEO and President of the network, that captured the attention of the public.

Some are praying for more hearing sessions so they could see Mr. Katigbak on their screen again.

In another news headline that is not related to this story, the magazine cover photo deal for Piolo Pascual is now being withdrawn for another heartthrob, an older one who wears eye glasses and white barong.

Ms. Charo Santos- Concio did not attend the hearing at the Senate, which was practical for both the network and the government.

She would have read the ABS-CBN's opening statement very dramatically and reminded Senator Bong Go about the politician whose life was featured on Maalaala Mo Kaya before campaign period in the 2016 election started.
