CALAX to collect toll fees starting Feb 10

The free season is over. Prepare to pay for the convenience of a speedier and safer travel when you now aboard the newly-opened Laguna segment of CALAX (Cavite-Laguna Expressway).

Starting February 10 Monday, CALAX announces it will collect toll fees. Motorists have enjoyed the new expressway at no cost since its partial opening in October last year ahead of the All Saint's and Christmas rush.

Here's the toll fee matrix lifted from the Facebook page of CALAX:
As of now, the 10-kilometer part of CALAX on operation starts from its Mamplasan toll plaza and stretches to its interchanges of Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, and Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay, all in Laguna.

The next segment to be opened expands to Cavite to further connect SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) and CAVITEX (Manila Cavite Expressway).

In its announcement on Facbeook, CALAX states:

“The first 10-kilometer segment of CALAX partially opened last October 30, 2019 for Undas, and started its 24/7 operations last December 21, 2019 in time for the Christmas season. Since its opening, it has served its target daily vehicle volume of 6,000 and has become an alternate access going to and from Binan and Santa Rosa in Laguna, and Tagaytay and Silang in Cavite.”
