We’re not sure if this was announced on Facebook Live, but
Isko Moreno’s beloved city of Manila is giving away a prize money of P1M per
winning barangay per district that is judged the cleanest and the greenest.

Mayor Moreno tweeted:
“Papahuli ba barangay niyo? The search for CLEANEST and
GREENEST barangay is on!”.
Who will be the judges? The panel will be composed of
representatives from Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and
government agencies.
For the criteria:
- 30 points for segregation at source and segregated collection
- 20 points for a material recovery facility
- 20 points for greening programs (vertical gardening, urban garden or urban agriculture)
- 15 points for barangay solid waste management committee
- 15 points for barangay weekly clean up
We checked on the reaction of netizens and this got our eyes:
My barangay is always clean without this reward system until some squatters came throwing trash behind the plants to hide it.— G ᴀ ʙ ʙ ʏ 🌴 | 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓐𝓻𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓵 🌸 (@ioannesesledieu) March 1, 2020
The problem is not about implementation or codification it's about liberalism which continues to infect millions of people turning them into savages.
We’re excited to see which of the barangays will win. Moredetails are available in the Manila City's Department of Public Services office. Give them a call at 8527-4967.
